INQUEST is the UK’s only charity fighting alongside bereaved families following deaths in state custody and care. We work with bereaved families like you, the media, policy makers and other organisations to put an end to state related deaths and the unjust systems that enable them.
We're entirely independent of government and do not receive any government funding.
Set up by and for bereaved families, our support is unbiased and non-judgemental in relation to the background or actions of your loved one who has died.
Who are we for?
If someone you know has died in prison, in police custody or in immigration or mental health detention, we can help.
