Friends of mine lost their precious 19 year old Frankie last June to suicide when they were supposed to be in a safe and secure hospital in Liverpool.
I’m running the Hackney Half marathon for INQUEST! INQUEST is a small charity working with bereaved families following state-related deaths. They are the only organisation who supports families whose loved one has died following contact with the police, whilst in prison or while in the care of mental health services. Over the past few years, INQUEST has faced even greater demand for their services with families and to influence the wider media and policy landscape.
INQUEST is a small charity working with bereaved families following state-related deaths. Having worked with them recently I've seen first-hand how crucial their work is. The size of the problem they are tackling is immense - and they are a small team with a huge impact. Sadly, demand for their support and services continues to grow and so they need your help. I thought I'd encourage that by trying to get as many people as possible to give them money by dragging myself round the Hackney Half.
As a solicitor who represents bereaved families at inquests, I see at first hand the vital importance of the work INQUEST does in providing support to families at some of the most difficult moments of their lives, in helping to give them a voice and in guiding them through a gruelling legal process.

Hi Folks. When other OAP's are getting their slippers on and settling down to another episode of 'Call the Midwife', I shall be dusting off my plimsolls and oiling my joints to run, or stroll, 13.1 miles on Sunday 21 May 2023 in the Hackney Half Marathon. I shall be running on behalf of the charity INQUEST which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Your donations to this worthwhile cause will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
