“Thank you INQUEST most sincerely for kindling the flame that led the NHS trust to finally answer our questions. You have been a real backbone when we have felt like crumbling.” Bereaved mother

Thank you for considering making a donation to INQUEST. In donating today, you will be helping us to continue our vital work supporting people bereaved by a death in state care and driving systemic change to prevent future deaths.

Every year, we help hundreds of families of people who have died in custody, detention or following police contact.

We are a small charity, independent of government and entirely reliant on grants and donations. Any amount you can give will help us meet the high and growing demand for our services.

In the last two years INQUEST’s caseload has risen by 30%. The INQUEST team has directly worked on over 1,600 cases, supporting grieving families at a vital time. The INQUEST Handbook, a free informative guide available for any bereaved person facing an inquest, has been accessed over 5,000 times. £150 funds six months of dedicated expert support to one family. £10 covers the cost of providing a handbook.

One family who was supported by INQUEST said:

Inquest was there right at the start. It gave me the support, the information and knowledge I needed to know the long battle ahead to fight for truth and justice for my darling brother was going to succeed
