I'm running the Hackney Half marathon for INQUEST!

INQUEST is a small charity working with bereaved families following state-related deaths. They are the only organisation who supports families whose loved one has died following contact with the police, whilst in prison or while in the care of mental health services.

Over the past few years, INQUEST has faced even greater demand for their services with families and to influence the wider media and policy landscape. They have helped bring about huge changes for bereaved families but need your help to continue doing so.

For 40 years, INQUEST has stood with bereaved people with a simple mission: putting an end to state related deaths and the unjust social systems which enable them. Now they need your help to continue this vital work.

Since January this year, I have been running an internship with students from the University of Westminster as part of a heritage project documenting INQUEST's 40 year history. We have seen first hand the important work that INQUEST have done over the years, supporting bereaved families and holding the state to account. By running the Hackney Half I'm hoping to raise money to support the continuation of this vital work.
