Help and advice Factsheets Challenging inquest conclusions There is no right of appeal for inquest conclusions. The only way to challenge them is by judicial review, which is a complex legal process in which a judge reviews the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body (e.g. The Coroner’s Court). There is a very short amount of time after an inquest has concluded to judicially review the decision, it typically must be done within 3 months. You should seek legal advice as soon as possible if you want to pursue a judicial review.
