What happens next? The coroner will consider your request for an adjournment and inform you whether they intend to adjourn. If the coroner decides that an adjournment is necessary, the coroner must inform the next of kin or personal representative of the deceased and any other Interested Persons: That the inquest has been adjourned; When the inquest was adjourned; Why the inquest has been adjourned; and When and where the inquest will resume again.
